Project Milky Way is a Land Rover Defender 110 which has been refurbished to look similar to an NAS Defender 110, also known as the North American Spec Defender 110’s. Milky Way features a very original, classic, and true to roots look. Milky Way has been repainted in Alpine White with new body panels installed prior to paint. This Defender is also fitted with a white roll cage, white steel wheels, and a black roof basket. The front bumper has a front brush guard as well. While Milky Way has been restored and modified to look like an original Defender, he is a great daily driver due to the addition of modern technology such as Air Conditioning, a back up camera, blue tooth audio, and power locks and power windows.

Details

This Land Rover Defender 110 was imported into the United States by The Alpine Element. Prior to importation we replaced the body panels with new body panels, and then proceeded to repaint the Defender in Alpine White, a Land Rover color code. This Defender was used as a school bus in the Middle East before we took ownership of it and began to put our own twist on it.

Exterior

The aluminum body has been taken apart, disassembled, and new body panels were ordered. We had the doors, hood, roof, and body replaced with completely new panels. At that point we repainted everything in Alpine White. The front features a front brush guard as well, along with white steel wheels to compliment the Alpine White paint and white roll cage, along with the black roof basket.

Interior

The interior has been reupholstered in black leather, the interior still smells like a new car! The interior features bluetooth audio, air conditioning, and a touch screen head unit and an upgraded sound system. Power locks and power windows have been installed as well.

Mechanical

Power is from a 3.5 V8 engine driving all four wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox and a two-speed transfer case.
