Project Spectre 007 is a 1993 Land Rover Defender 130 which has undergone a full, very extensive, restoration in 2020. Defender 130’s are the “Holy Grail” of Defenders. Project Spectre 007 is one of our favorite builds, hands down. He is a REAL head turner, and he is powered by a V8 and a 5 speed manual gearbox and features air conditioning, new leather interior, and an aftermarket cabin heater. Details
This 1993 Land Rover Defender 130 is an extremely pristine condition example. Everything on this Defender 130 was disassembled, and painted separately. We have documentation for the entire build process along with plenty of photos. The 3.5 V8 does an excellent job at bringing this Defender up to highway cruising speeds. Project Spectre 007 is repainted in Santorini Black and is currently sitting on 37” Maxxi Treppador tires with a 5” lift. The transmission has been rebuilt recently and shifts through all the gears very smoothly.
Exterior
The aluminum body has been taken apart, disassembled, and new body panels were ordered. We had the doors, hood, roof, and body replaced with completely new panels. At that point we repainted everything in Santorini Black. We also ordered brand new wheels for this Spectre build and wrapped them in brand new 37” Maxxi Treppador tires. We had LED lighting installed all around at this time as well. A custom roll cage, roof rack, and a front winch. Spectre style fender flares were installed at this time for both aesthetic purposes, and to accommodate the larger 37” tires.
Interior
The interior has been reupholstered in black leather, with black bucket seats. The interior still smells like a new car! The interior has been fitted with an Air Conditioning System, a new audio system and as well as a heater for the cabin of the vehicle.
Mechanical
Power is from a 3.5 V8 engine driving all four wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox which was freshly rebuilt and a two-speed transfer case.
